BLOG

So I had this fantasy 2 days ago, I was walking around Canel Street, getting my newspaper. Right then I bumped in to nick
stahl who’s shooting a movie right now as we speak just 5 blocks away from where I live. I would say to him, “I’m sorry I love you but my breath stinks, forgive me” and he would laugh about it but realize that I wasn’t kidding and not ask me out.
So on Thursday Oct.20.05 after getting off the subway on my way home, I decided to take a detour, from the usual funeral lane, I walked closer toward wall st. As I was walking I see this fine lanky, blond, looking at my Cap (the “I Love Lancaster”, with the horse buggies logo on it) anyways he turns back, and the next thing I here is (a LA type saying) “ …security’s tight today you guys”
hence my fantasy with the tall blonde and my stinky breath, I promise you this people, I will be stalking Nick Stahl, he is so dam hottt.
Oct.23.05
Went for a short but rewarding run in Central Park, I am so out of shape it’s funny even the chub chubs with the head brace zoomed passed me without a glance. After just a miles or so, I gave up and left the heavy breathing to the professional.
After my jog, I walk down 87th street which is parallel to Madison Ave. what is also know as Museum Lane (maybe) but more infamous nickname- Upper Eastside Bitch. In the freezing cold (mind you it’s Oct. and I wearing shots) and I see very well to do people who look perfect in there fur coats, polo’s, and designer jeans. When I come across this young adult with his cigar smoking father- anyways the kid is wearing a polo shirt with the collar up. I mean I do it all the time, but I’m being ironic, when I realize that this kid bought a pretty in pink shirt for over $200 I feel kinda quizy.

 BIOGRAPHY

HYUN YOUNG JUNG
Photography has always sparked my curiosity; I was hooked by the age of twelve. Through photography I have explored both my personality and the world around me. When I documented my sister’s wedding in Korea, I found that saving those ephemeral moments for some one brought a lasting value into my work.
After I received my B.A from San Francisco State University I turned my art into a profession, capturing the memorable moments in daily life and the celebrations that mark the milestones in people’s lives.
I also believe in passing skills on to the wider world. While working professionally, I have volunteered at SF MOMA Matches and SF Camerawork First Exposures, teaching inner-city youth photographic techniques and art history. Just recently I collaborated with SF MOMA again, working with Family Studio teaching the artistic process with hands-on art projects to young adults.
If you would like to know more about my practice, background or other relevant details, please feel free to contact me.
